No really, what is your name?
Kate. That is the short answer. The long answer begins with my father’s admiration of Katharine Hepburn and general dissatisfaction with naming trends for girls in the early 80s, and ends with a delivery room declaration to my mother, which was a surprise to everyone involved.
So why do you use your initials?
A couple of reasons, actually! But mostly I like initials because that’s what CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien did, and it seems to have worked out pretty well for them.
Can you SEND ME a signed book?
No. I cannot.
Do you do author appearances?
I do! Please see send me an email with the contact form, and I’ll see if we can work something out.
What is it about the War of 1812?
How many of your books does Richard Armitage make a cameo appearance in?
I cannot give an answer to that question on the grounds that it may be used to incriminate me.
Will there be a sequel to [insert title here]?
You’ll know when I do, probably, because GoodReads updates with astonishing quickness.
Is there going to be a movie?
I think this falls under the category of “I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you”, and I am trying to keep my body count 100% fictional.
Will you read my manuscript?
I will not. Time, as they say, is word count. Or...something. There are lots of websites to help with writing and querying, and failing that, the first 100 pages of David Eddings’ RIVAN CODEX are pretty useful.
I am doing a project for school and-
I’m just going to stop you there. I can’t help you do your homework.
